摘要:
高校对所需教师聘任标准和甄别理念是区分一流大学的核心要素。本文选取中美10所一流大学作为样本高校,通过英国“维泰计划”开发的研究者发展框架对所需教师在知识与智力能力,个人效能,研究组织和管理,参与、影响和影响力四个维度的能力进行编码。研究发现,中美一流大学在教师学术能力需求上存在较大差异。中国一流大学具有学科内知识结构、个人领袖效能、准公务员学者、创业扩展影响需求偏好;美国一流大学具有超学科知识结构、价值耦合效能、准企业家学者、合作传递影响需求偏好。从中国一流到世界一流的师资需求模式转变过程中,中国一流大学需要在学术组织建制、人才识别意识和学术管理制度上适时调整和变革。
Abstract:
The criteria for faculty appointment and the concept of selecting faculty are the core elements to distinguish the first-class universities. This paper chooses 10 leading universities in China and the United States as sample universities, and encodes the required faculty capabilities in four dimensions based on the Researcher Development Framework (RDF) developed by Vitae: knowledge and intellectual abilities, personal effectiveness, research governance and organization, and engagement, influence and impact. It finds that there are great differences in the demand for academic competence between Chinese and American top universities. First-class universities in China have disciplinary knowledge structure, personal leadership effectiveness, quasi-civil servant scholars, and entrepreneurial expansion affecting demand preferences. First-class universities in the United States have a transdisciplinary knowledge structure, value coupling efficiency, quasi-entrepreneur scholars, and cooperative transmission affecting demand preferences. In the process of changing the demand pattern of faculty from first-class in China to first-class in the world, China’s first-class universities need to adjust and change their academic organizational structure, awareness of talent identification and academic management system in a timely manner.
