跨学科研究是为解决共同的科研问题,来自多个学科的学者开展合作的科研组织方式。科研问题、学科制度,特别是后者,影响着跨学科研究的组织设计方案选择。论文剖析高校实践中多种跨学科研究组织设计的学科整合程度和效果,认为相对独立的跨学科中心因与学科院系结构有较大的冲突,难以达到理想上的效果;公共技术平台因资源的共建共享而促进科研人员的集聚与交流,在一定程度上能实现科研的组织化、实体化运行;依托学科院系建设的新体制机构、集群聘任模式是两种促进跨学科研究的较佳方案。这些组织设计方案的分类比较对高校开展“有组织的科研”以及“双一流”建设工作会有启发意义。
Abstract:
Interdisciplinary research is a way of doing research by organizing scholars from many disciplines, in order to solve the common problem. The research problem and the disciplinary system, especially the latter, affect the organizational design of interdisciplinary research center (IRC). This paper analyzes the degree and effect of disciplinary integration at the IRCs, and argues that relatively independent IRCs have great conflicts with disciplinary system, and it is difficult to achieve the ideal effects. Public technology platform through the aggregation of researchers, to a certain extent, can achieve the organizing of scientific research. It is pointed out that the new institutional system research institutes at China’s universities and cluster hiring initiative at American universities are the good practices to foster interdisciplinary research. The categorization and comparison of these organizational designs is instructive for universities to carry out “organized research” and set up research centers.
