摘要:
博士毕业生的学术职业意愿是一个重要的理论与社会问题。基于精英阶层再生产理论和代际传递理论,本文利用北京26所高校2629份博士生的问卷调查数据,从“再生产”的视角实证研究了博士生在学术领域的再生产现象及其再生产过程中的具体行为,并比较了不同博士生再生产路径。主要的研究发现有:首先,父辈为非精英的博士比父辈为精英的博士更愿意从事学术职业;第二,位于社会阶层两极的非精英群体中的下层阶层和精英群体中的政治精英,进入学术领域的意愿较强;第三,所有阶层进入学术职业的意愿由高到低的排序为下层阶层、政治精英、技术领域非精英、工人阶层、政治领域非精英、商业领域非精英、学术精英和商业精英;第四,政治精英与下层阶层学术职业再生产的实现路径不同——政治精英子女通过将政治资本转化为学术资本的“代际资本转化”方式,而下层阶层子女则多通过“自我生产”,实现学术资本的初始积累。
Abstract:
Based on the questionnaire, we analyzed the stratum reproduction and the will to enter the academic profession of doctoral students in Beijing. We divided the doctoral students into different classes according to their fathers’ profession and then analyzed the stratum reproduction in the academic field according to the similarity between career choice and paternal class. Then we analyzed their different behaviors during the doctoral stage to reveal different paths of stratum reproduction in the academic field. We found that doctoral students whose fathers are not elite are more willing to engage in the academic profession than those whose fathers are elite. Doctoral students from the lowest class and those from politically elite families are more willing to engage in the academic profession. But their ways of stratum reproduction in the academic field are quite different.
