本研究以目前中国境内已有的跨境合作大学作为研究对象,应用组织社会学中的制度主义理论,采用质性研究方法,主要探讨了跨境合作大学在成立过程中的制度两难现象。跨境合作大学的制度两难主要体现在组织与环境之间的制度距离,具体体现在政策法律、社会规范与文化认知三个层面。本研究回应了新制度主义理论对于制度环境塑造组织特征的强调,分析了跨境合作大学产生制度两难的种种原因。
Abstract:
This research examined the institutional dilemmas in the process of building cross-border joint-universities in China by applying institutional theory in organizational sociology and using qualitative research methods. The dilemmatic features of cross-border joint-universities were manifested in the institutional distance between the organizations and the environment, which were specifically shown in the regulative, normative, and cultural-cognitive aspects. This research echoed new institutionalism by stressing the role the institutional environment plays in the organization and demonstrated major reasons why institutional dilemmas develop in the Chinese context.
