联合聘任制是推动大学跨学科团队合作的核心战略,完善和创新基于跨学科团队合作的教师评价制度是保障联合聘任制有效落实的关键举措。采用“全评价”体系分析框架,从形式评价、内容评价、效用评价3个维度,对9所世界一流大学联合聘任教师跨学科团队合作评价进行对比分析。研究发现,世界一流大学的共性经验在于强调本学科领域之外的“非主流”期刊论文,认可跨学科团队研究中其他作者的贡献,对成果数量不做硬性要求,邀请不同学科领域专家参与评审,注重教师跨学科研究的非学术影响;差异化探索表现为根据教师参与跨学科研究的程度开展分类评价,尊重不同学科领域评审专家意见的差异,从过程维度评价非学术影响。借鉴世界一流大学创新举措,为改革我国大学联合聘任教师跨学科团队合作评价制度提出针对性建议。
Abstract:
The Joint appointment system is a core strategy to promote interdisciplinary teamwork in universities. Improving and innovating the faculty evaluation system based on interdisciplinary teamwork is the key measure to ensure the effective implementation of the joint appointment system. Using the analytical framework of the “full evaluation system”, this study conducted a comparative analysis of the evaluation systems for joint appointment faculty interdisciplinary teamwork across nine world-class universities, in three dimensions: form evaluation, content evaluation, and utility evaluation. This study reveals several common practices among world-class universities, including: emphasizing “non-mainstream” journal articles outside the discipline, recognizing the contribution of other authors in interdisciplinary team research, loosening requirements on the quantity of outputs, inviting experts in different disciplinary fields to participate in the evaluation, and focusing on the non-academic impact of the interdisciplinary research. World-class universities also conducted various explorations in the following areas: classification of evaluation by degree of participation in interdisciplinary research, respect for differences in experts’ opinions across disciplines, and process evaluation of non-academic impact. Drawing on the innovative initiatives of world-class universities, we propose targeted reform suggestions for the evaluation system of interdisciplinary teamwork in joint appointment faculties at Chinese universities.
