作为面向农村学生实施的倾斜性招生政策,高校专项计划为农村学生上重点大学提供了机会与通道,但缺少研究深入分析专项计划在学生选择大学过程中产生的具体影响。本文基于云南高三农村学生的信息干预实验,探讨农村学生选择重点大学的影响因素与意愿变化。研究发现在没有信息干预的情况下,家庭经济条件是影响农村学生选择外省重点大学的核心因素;但在倾斜性高考招生政策的影响下,经济的作用被削弱,学生能力成为核心影响变量。研究认为在充分提供招考信息与资助信息的情况下,高校专项计划矫正了家庭经济条件对农村学生选择重点大学的干扰,对提升学生能力的影响具有积极作用。研究结果可为倾斜性招生政策的完善与高校专项计划的实施提供参考。
Abstract:
As a type of preferential enrollment policy, the Key University Special Admission Policy gives a great chance to rural students for attending key universities. However, there is a lack of in-depth studies on the influences of this policy on rural students’ university choice decisions. Based on an information intervention experiment on rural senior students in a high school in Yunnan province, we discuss the factors influencing rural students’ choices of attending key universities outside Yunan and the changes in their aspirations. The paper finds that, without information interventions, household economic condition is the core factor influencing rural students’ choice of attending key universities outside the province. With information about the preferential enrollment policy conveyed to students, the impact of economic factors is weakened, and personal ability becomes the most important influential factor. The paper concludes that, when providing sufficient information on admission and financial aid policies, the Key University Special Admission Policy could reduce the influence of household economic conditions and enhance the influence of personal ability on rural students’ choices. The paper also discusses implications for the improvement of the preferential enrollment policies and the implementation of Key University Special Admission Policy.
