STEM教育是美国高等教育人才培养的重要领域。近年来,为了解决创新型STEM人才培养在教学模式与方法方面存在的问题,美国积极推广基于实证的教学方法,为教师开展教学方法培训,鼓励教师使用探究性教学方法,加强校企合作以促进实践教学,倡导并实践跨学科合作教学新模式。美国高等STEM教育教学模式与方法改革的各项策略对于我国高等工程教育教学方法改革具有积极的借鉴意义。
Abstract:
STEM is a prominent area in US higher education for manpower development. In recent years, to address the issue of existing teaching patterns and methods in higher STEM education that do not well facilitate the cultivation of innovative STEM talents, the United States has taken relevant measures, including proactively popularizing evidence-based teaching methods, training faculty members for more competent pedagogical skills, incentivizing instructors to employ investigative teaching, strengthening university-industry partnership for better praxis education, and championing new patterns on interdisciplinary collaborative teaching. Practical implications of the ideas pertaining to reform measures in US higher STEM education on teaching reform in China’s higher engineering education sector are discussed.
